Cookie Policy

Policy version 1

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. This page explains which cookies feedwrk.com uses, why, and how you can change your mind at any time.

Short version: the site uses optional Google Analytics 4, and it is off by default. It runs only after you choose Accept in the cookie consent banner; Reject keeps it fully off. One first-party cookie remembers your choice.

1. What we use

NameTypePurposeLifetimeProvider
fw_consent Strictly necessary Stores your consent choice, when you made it, and the policy version it applies to 6 months Feedwrk (first-party)
_ga Analytics - only set after you accept Google Analytics 4: tells returning visitors apart so visits are not double-counted Up to 2 years Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC (privacy policy)
_ga_* Analytics - only set after you accept Google Analytics 4: keeps the state of your current visit (session) Up to 2 years Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC

"Strictly necessary" means the cookie is needed to do something you specifically asked for - here, remembering the choice you made in the consent banner. It is set only when you press Accept or Reject, never before. Under EU ePrivacy rules it does not require consent.

The analytics cookies work differently: until you accept, the Google Analytics script is not even loaded. No request goes to Google and no _ga cookie is set. If you reject, that stays the case.

2. What we do not use

Analytics is the one measurement tool we use, and it is opt-in: Google Analytics 4 loads only after you choose Accept in the consent banner. We never send it personal details - no names, no email addresses - only standard page-view data.

3. Your choice and how to withdraw

On your first visit the consent banner asks you to Accept or Reject analytics. Nothing is stored until you choose. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time - use the Cookie settings control in the footer of every page, or the button below, and choose Reject in the banner that reopens.

Withdrawing takes effect immediately for storage: the Google Analytics cookies are deleted and no new ones are written. If analytics was already running on the page you are viewing, its script stays in memory until you leave that page, but it records nothing once you withdraw - and from the next page load it is not loaded at all.

Your choice expires after 6 months, and we ask again. We also honour your browser's Global Privacy Control and Do-Not-Track signals: if your browser sends one and you have not made a choice yet, we treat that visit as a "no" and analytics stays off. An explicit Accept in the banner overrides the signal.

4. How to control cookies in your browser

You can also delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings:

Deleting cookies removes your saved consent choice too - the banner will simply ask again on your next visit. Nothing else on the site will break.

5. Server logs

Like every website, our hosting provider keeps short-term server logs of requests (IP address, time, URL, user-agent). These are kept for security and debugging and are deleted after a short period. See the Privacy Policy for details.

6. Fonts and other static assets

The site loads the Inter and JetBrains Mono fonts from Google Fonts, and some pages load animation libraries from the jsdelivr CDN. These are fetched as static files and set no cookies.

7. Changes

If we change what we use, this page is updated first and the policy version above is raised - a new version means the banner asks for your choice again before anything changes. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the most recent version.
